Day 204. 23^rd July Commentary With Dr Toyin Ojo Taken From The Book Of Isaiah.

SPRING UP!

Within the next few days, after the chronological order of events; ( The One Year Chronological Bible pg.899-947 ), I will continue the commentary and summary on Prophet Isaiah’s prophecies which are undated.

THE SUFFERING IS OVER:

Isaiah 40:1-31

Is the prophecy of God’s love for his people and preeminence over all the earth — The people, their leaders, and its abundance.  He therefore in his sovereignty will rule, reward and recompense ALL.

The prophet is to speak this prophecy tenderly to comfort his own.

There is nothing to fear because as a shepherd he will care for us , in his act, there is none like him.  And we should stop complaining and now be strengthened.

“…. All flesh is grass …

Behold the LORD GOD will come with

strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him:

behold, his reward is with him, and his works

before him.

He tends his flock like a shepherd…..” (v.6c, 1,11a).

Also read 12a,13,15a,18a, 22, 23, 28, 29a, 30-31).

Many of the scriptures are perfected in Christ. Read (v.9-11).

ISAIAH 41:1-29

I will help you — the LORD GOD through his prophet Isaiah speaks; to strengthen the people of what he has done to help them win battles in the past, and reassures them of what he will do;

·       “ strengthen, help and uphold them.

v.11,18.  Behold all they that were incensed  against you shall be ashamed and

confounded; they shall be as nothing;

and they that strive with thee shall perish.

… FEAR NOT …. I will help thee, saith the

LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of

Israel.”

It will be evident; “that the hand of the has done this.”

Isaiah 42:1-25

A prophecy of a faultless servant of God who will ensure justice, teach and impact hope in the people (v.1-9). You want to believe this is a reign of Christ prophesied.

“Behold, the former things are come to pass,

and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (v.9).

A Call For The Declaration of praise unto God (v.10-13), and God’s promises spoken (v.16-17).

BE MORE ATTENTIVE

God’s people in prophet Isaiah’s days had eyes, ears that could not function, and therefore were trapped and taken as plunder.

God’s beloved Jacob and Israel as the 21st Century believers are entangled and endangered.

But what keeps us out of such predicament?

Following his ways, and obeying his laws.

Do you know the ten (10) Commandments and the fruits of the spirit to bear them?

ISAIAH 43:1-28

WALK THROUGH THE FIRE UNHARMED my dear daughters and sons — saith the LORD (v.2).

Even if yours is a river; God is commanding us — FEAR NOT.

We are redeemed for God has found a ransom for us; his love for us is untold.

“Fear not: for I am with thee …

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Yes, and from ancient days I am he.” v.5a,11,13.

HIS DELIVERANCE FORETOLD

His act of deliverance in this chapter again.

“Behold I will do a new thing;

Now it shall spring up, shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” v.19.

Yet, as a people just like Jacob and Israel we become weary.  Let’s warm our hearts to Christ again — for we are forgiven and invited for a talk (v.25&26).

Isaiah 44:1-5.

God’s preparedness to help told — because we are his chosen.

NIGHT:

Schedule to memorise the ten (10) commandments and now do a self assessment  to see if you’ve been bearing the fruits of the spirit;

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance, against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
